Use gald3r with Aider¶
Aider (aider command) — an open-source terminal-based AI pair-programmer that edits files in your local git repo and auto-commits each accepted change. It builds a repo map (tree-sitter–derived codebase summary) for context and lets you pin extra files as read-only.
Installing gald3r into an Aider project writes the CRASH overlay this tool actually reads into .aider/ — the same task board, bug tracker, and gald3r <verb> CLI every other supported platform gets, wired the way Aider itself expects it. Today that's commands partial, rules native, skills not yet wired, hooks partial, MCP not yet wired via the gald3r engine's CLI (L1). gald3r platform install aider automates the wiring. A fresh install writes a real, non-stub CONVENTIONS.md (the same generic gald3r instructions body every root_instructions platform shares) AND a companion .aider.conf.yml with a read: key pinning it — so the file is genuinely consumed, not dropped on disk and silently ignored.
Once installed, the same .gald3r/TASKS.md task board, bug tracker, and full gald3r <verb> CLI work identically to every other supported platform — Aider is one of 37 platforms gald3r reads and writes today. Commonly searched as aider-chat, Aider AI.
