Use gald3r with Roo Code¶
Roo Code (formerly Roo Cline) — an open-source agentic coding VS Code extension forked from Cline, with custom AI modes (Code, Architect, Debug, Ask, Orchestrator), boomerang task orchestration, project slash commands, Agent Skills, and first-class MCP. Five of six gald3r mechanisms are native; only lifecycle hooks are absent.
Installing gald3r into a Roo Code project writes the CRASH overlay this tool actually reads into .roo/ — the same task board, bug tracker, and gald3r <verb> CLI every other supported platform gets, wired the way Roo Code itself expects it. Today that's commands native, rules native, skills native, hooks not yet wired, MCP native via the gald3r engine's MCP (L2). High-parity install: ship AGENTS.md + the .roo/ tree (rules/, skills/, commands/, mcp.json) + .roomodes — Roo discovers all of them natively. gald3r g-skl-/SKILL.md load via .roo/skills/ (auto-relevance honored); g-agnt- personas become .roomodes custom modes; g-rl- map to .roo/rules/; @g- commands become .roo/commands/g-*.md.
Once installed, the same .gald3r/TASKS.md task board, bug tracker, and full gald3r <verb> CLI work identically to every other supported platform — Roo Code is one of 37 platforms gald3r reads and writes today. Commonly searched as Roo Cline.
